São Paulo – Brazilian business executives from the West side of the municipality of São Paulo and nearby cities will be able to learn more about the Arab market at the 1st Foreign Trade Congress of the Western Region, set to begin early this Tuesday evening (11th) and lasting through Wednesday (12th), at the Vila Yara Campus of the Unifieo University Centre, in Osasco, in the Greater Metropolitan Area of São Paulo. The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will have a stand at the congress, which doubles up as a foreign trade exhibition.
“We will be seeing people interested in the Arab market,” says the Arab Chamber Business and Markets manager Rafael Abdulmassih. The congress is mostly oriented towards executives and professionals from companies in West side São Paulo and nearby cities such as Osasco, Carapicuíba, Barueri, Itapevi, Cotia, Pirapora do Bom Jesus, Santana de Parnaíba and Jandira, who are either interested or already active in foreign trade.
According to Abdulmassih, the Arab Chamber is taking part in the congress as a result of talks with the Osasco Trade and Business Association (Associação Comercial e Empresarial de Osasco – ACEO). The congress is organized by the Secretariat for Industry, Trade and Supply of the municipality of Osasco, alongside the ACEO and the Western Region Foreign Trade Incentive Committee (Cicero).
The congress opens with a lecture on foreign trade financing, from the International Business manager of Banco do Brasil, Walter Cezar de Paiva, at 5:30 pm, but the official will take place at 7:00 pm. Next, at 8:00 pm, a lecture on entrepreneurship, sustainability and innovation will be delivered by the CEO of the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae), Luiz Eduardo Pereira Barretto. The fair opens at 9:25 pm.
On Wednesday, several lectures will be delivered on subjects including exporting, exporting for individual micro-entrepreneurs, a step-by-step breakdown of the importing process, commercial promotion in foreign countries, the Brazilian Postal Service’s Exporta Fácil (Easy Export) service, banking solutions for exporting companies of all sizes, foreign trade, sustainability and innovation.
