São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will have an institutional stand at Expo Revestir, the trade expo of the architecture and construction industry that begins this Tuesday (13) at Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo. Some Arab buyers selected by the Arab Chamber will visit the event, as part of the Buyer Project created by the partnership between the Brazilian Association of Ceramic Tile Manufacturers (Anfacer) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
In all, over eighty international buyers will attend the fair’s business matchmaking, according to Mauricio Borges, the general director of Expo Revestir and of the International Forum of Architecture and Construction, which will be taking place simultaneously to the fair.
The Arab Chamber’s stand at the expo will be on a 27-square-meter area and will offer support to the Arab buyers and companies that are interested in exporting to the Arab market. The Chamber’s sales executive Carlos Eduardo Von Bulow says that, despite the distance and logistic costs, the Brazilian product’s still able to stay competitive in the Arab market.
“Even with the strong competition, including from local companies, the Brazilian manufacturers are still able to export to the Arabs, especially products with higher added-value,” explains Von Bulow, mentioning Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates as relevant markets in the region.
The executive and other staff will also support the Arab Chamber’s member companies during the expo: Deca, manufacturer of metal and ceramic sanitary ware, Angelgres, manufacturer of ceramics and roof tiles, and Granos, a granite company. The Arab Chamber’s president, Rubens Hannun, will attend the opening ceremony, scheduled for Tuesday (13) at 9:30 am.
Expo Revestir will host 240 exhibitors, with 21 coming from abroad, in an area of 40,000 square meters. The expo’s organization expects to welcome, during the four days, 60,000 professionals, among architects, designers, retailers, developers, distributors, engineers and local and international buyers.
This year, the fair was divided in two phases: in the first two days, the focus will be on business matchmaking. “The idea is for the exhibitors to engage more in making business contacts,” explained Borges. In the last two days, architects and designers will focus more on the industry’s more creative side, presenting new trends and sharing knowledge.
The breakdown in two parts was done to meet a demand from visitors, as pointed out, in a statement, by the CEO of Anfacer and Expo Revestir, Antonio Carlos Kieling. “Throughout our existence, Expo Revestir was able to figure out the needs of the market and, under a vision aligned with the new technologies and updated design, present the more relevant trends in each edition. The professionals are introduced to new finishing products, can soak in new and exclusive content, expand their contacts, and the most important thing: generate business,” he says.
