São Paulo – At least three Egyptian companies should take part in the Food Ingredients South America, the food industry input and ingredients trade expo that will be held from Tuesday (21) to Thursday (23) at Expo Transamérica, in São Paulo.
One of them is the herbs and spices producer Herbs Egypt, a name well-known in Brazil already. Brazil is the main destination for the company’s products in Latin America, as ANBA reported in May. The company’s director-general, Rabie Abbas, attended the Brazil-Arab Countries Economic Forum, organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in April, and a seminar held by the Chamber on the Mercosur-Egypt free trade agreement.
Another company is InagroTiba, producer of dehydrated foods such as parsley, dill, basil, marjoram, onion, garlic and leek. The company is not in the Brazilian market and it will attend a trade expo in Brazil for the first time. It’s focusing the local market and South America in general, stated the company in an email to ANBA.
Meanwhile, Almounajed Food Industries produces potato, wheat and corn chips. These are intermediate goods used by snacks manufacturers, which process them and add flavors.
The ingredients expo will have nearly 700 exhibitors and the organization is expecting over 9,000 visitors from 45 countries. Above, a picture taken at last year’s edition.
