Arab footprints: company expands sales of shoes to the Middle East
Exports by company Pegada (Footprint in Portuguese) to Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman and the United Arab Emirates grew 120% in four years. The company ships 20% of its daily production of 5,000 shoes abroad. As the company target is to increase sales by 10% in 2006, they are going to invest in participation in foreign fairs, like Motexha, in Dubai.
