São Paulo – At least 12 importers from Arab countries are expected as guests for Couromoda, the footwear and accessories industry expo happening from January 15 to 18 in São Paulo. Such was the number of Arab executives whose attendance had been confirmed by last Thursday (22) for the expo’s buyer project, the Couromoda press office told ANBA.
Many international visitors attend spontaneously, but the buyer project offers special conditions to non-local importers and distributors. This year, 300 professionals were invited, with free lodging, shuttle and parking, plus discounts at restaurants and air tickets.
According to the press office, invitees are either from companies that already do business with Brazil, or who are referred by exhibitors looking to boost sales. Overall, Couromoda is expecting 2,500 importers from Latin America, the United States, Europe and the Middle East. The last edition was attended by 20 Arabs.
In 2017, the expo will feature over 1,000 Autumn/Winter collections. Couromoda will run parallel to São Paulo Prêt-à-Porter, a fashion, textiles and accessories exhibition. There will also be a forum featuring over 40 lectures, plus projects including stands shared by micro and small businesses, a special area for export-oriented companies, a shop window and a lounge, parades four times a day, etc.
