São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) participated in this year’s edition of the Show Rural Coopavel. In a panel, the ABCC’s Institutional Relations analyst Elaine Prates pointed out the Arabs see opportunities in Brazil to acquire technological expertise. “Innovative solutions for agribusiness, such as irrigation systems and seed improvement, for instance, are likely to attract the interest of Arab institutions for implementing them in countries like Sudan, Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt,” she said.
The executive explained that the geographic conditions in the aforementioned allow this transfer of technology and knowledge from Brazil, as well as the internationalization of AgTechs operating in these segments, which have great potential in Arab markets. The panel took place on Thursday (9).

The ABCC had a booth at the Itaipu Technological Park (PTI), a partner of the institution. “The ABCC’s space received a sizeable number of visitors, as we were inside the Digital Rural Show sector. It’s a vast space, featuring the government of the state of Paraná, FIEP [Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná], many hackathons and startups,” the Institutional Relations analyst told ANBA.
