According to a survey by the Brazilian Development Bank, Brazil will receive investments of 1.19 trillion Brazilian reais (US$ 665.8 billion) from 2008 to 2011. The industry will receive investment of 447 billion reais (US$ 250 billion), an annual growth of 12.4% over the period from 2003 to 2006. The figures were disclosed on Friday (7th) by the president at the institution during the 12th Annual Brazilian Chemical Industry Meeting.
