The Arab Brazilian Chamber and the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex) will promote next Thursday (29) a meeting to speak to Brazilian businessmen about the markets in Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia. The organisations are preparing a mission to those three countries towards the end of May and beginning of June. The meeting will be held at the Arab Chamber Space, in São Paulo.

Agência Brasil* Brasília – Brazilian exports amounted to US$ 2.98 billion last week, a 7.89% increase compared with the week before, whereas imports reached US$ 2.322 billion, a 12.94% increase. The trade flow resulted in a positive balance of US$ 658 million for the week. The accumulated surplus for the month reached US$ 2.353 billion.
On the third day of the event, the product was once again the most sought after at the Brazilian stand. Today (23), approximately 180 people visited the stand of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.
The Moroccan minister of Industry and Trade, Salah Edinne Mezouar, and the mayor of Tangiers, Dahman Derham, will be in the Brazilian capital Brasília in April. The Moroccan city is a candidate to host the International Exhibition, organised by the Bureau of International Exhibitions (BIE), and will request support from the Brazilian government. Brazil is a member of the BIE, which is going to select the site of the exhibition in December.

The largest importers were Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Syria and Algeria. Main products exported were meats, sugar, coffee, forestry products and live cattle.
