The president of the Metal-Mechanics Industry Union (Sindimetal) of the southern state of Paraná, Roberto Sotomaior Karam, returned from the 51st Damascus International Fair this week with the names of eight import companies interested in buying Brazilian products. The opening of the Middle Eastern market is the result of participation in a cosmetics fair held in Dubai at the end of April. Niasi is based in Taboão da Serra, in the state of São Paulo, and manufactures one million products a year, such as nail varnish, hair colourings, shampoo, hair conditioner and deodorant.
