Brasília – The average time it takes to start a business in Brazil decreased from about eight days, as of late 2017, to a current five days. The information was made public this Wednesday (19) by Brazil’s Federal Revenue Office, which also saw a 20% hike in number of companies that ook 3 days or less to launch.
The Federal Revenue noted that this year saw the new online portal of the national network for simplifying registration and legalization of companies and businesses (Rede Nacional para a Simplificação do Registro e da Legalização de Empresas e Negócios – Redesim), which is becoming a one-stop shop for several organizations to interact with entrepreneurs.
According to the Federal Revenue, since it went online in July 2018, the Redesim portal had about 8 million visits. The new version of its User Area, which rolled out on December 10, got over 350,000 visits and 65,000 new registrations in four days’ time.
