São Paulo – Brazilian participants in BeautyWorld Middle East saw a combined USD 3.4 million in deals, as per results made public this Friday (11) by the Brazilian Association of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Industry (Abihpec). The beauty products expo ran from Tuesday (8) to Thursday (10) in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, featuring 42 Brazilian companies exhibiting in a pavilion organized by Abihpec and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
According to the results that have been released, over 1,500 business contacts were made during the trade show, and talks could lead to USD 18.7 million in contracts over the next 12 months. “We are pleased with the event’s organization and its results, which evince the great acceptance of Brazilian products abroad,” a statement quoted Gueisa Silvério – the manager of Abihpec-Apex promotion project Beautycare Brazil, which organized Brazilian participation in the event – as saying.
The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce also gave support to the Brazilian enterprises at the trade show. For the second year straight, the Chamber brought bloggers and digital influencers to see the products on offer and to promote them to the viewers of their websites and social media channels. The Chamber’s international business executive Rafael Solimeo was at the expo and worked closely with these professionals.
According to Abihpec, BeautyWorld Middle East featured over 1,700 exhibitors from 62 countries as well as 25-plus international pavilions.
