São Paulo – The Library and Research Center of South America-Arab Countries (Bibliaspa) is accepting enrolments for an Arabic language and Arab culture course in São Paulo. Classes begin on February 21st and will be taught on Saturday mornings and evenings and during the week, from Tuesdays to Fridays, at 5pm.
The course is split into four modules or semesters and the emphasis is on oral and written subjects. During the first module, students become fully literate in Arabic and acquire a vocabulary of 1,500-plus words, learning salutations, greetings, introductions and how to speak about themselves, their families, their neighborhoods, cities and countries. The remaining semesters hone in on communication, mastery of writing skills and the language’s complexity.
Bibliaspa informs that it employs its own methodology and special learning materials tailored for Brazilian and South American students. Apart from the language, the course will also focus on Arab culture. The cost per semester is R$ 400 (US$ 150).
