São Paulo – Braskem, the Brazilian petrochemical company that is the leader in thermoplastic resins in Latin America, had net revenues of US$ 396 million with exports in the third quarter of this year, 14% more than the US$ 348 million obtained in the previous three months. In the nine first months of this year, exports reached US$ 1 billion, a little over the value for 2005.
In the quarter, the company registered net revenues of R$ 3.3 billion (US$ 1.5 billion), presenting growth de 16% over the second quarter of the year, and 13% when compared to the same period in 2005. Braskem has 14 industrial plants in Brazil and produces 6 million tonnes of thermoplastic and other petrochemical resins per year.
