Brasilia – The governments of Brazil and India signed today (12) nine agreements and memorandums of understanding due to the visit of the Indian prime minister, Manmohan Singh.
One of the documents foresees exploration of oil and natural gas in the two countries, as well as the marketing of these products. According to the president of the Brazilian oil company Petrobras, José Sérgio Gabrielli, a work group will be created to analyse the projects.
In another agreement, the two countries plan on expanding mining activities and the construction of railways in India and South America.
Brazil and India agreed also in cooperating in the fields of civil aviation, agriculture, science and technology, housing developments, standardisation of technical norms and the promotion of cultural weeks.
