Rio de Janeiro – A poll commissioned by the Brazilian federal government shows that 88% of international tourists were satisfied with their trips to Brazil in 2017.
The rate is up from 85% five years ago. Thirty-five thousand people were polled at 15 airports and 10 land entry points.
Best-rated aspects include hospitality, accommodations, cuisine and restaurants, and 95% of respondents said they intend to travel to Brazil again.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, Brazil welcomed 6.5 million foreign tourists in 2017, up 12% from 5.8 million in 2013.
