The Embassy of Qatar in Brazil celebrated Qatar National Day on Wednesday (10) in Brasília. The date, officially observed on December 18, marks the country’s national unity and unification in 1878.
The host of the event, Qatar’s ambassador Ahmad Mohammed Ali Mohamed Alshebani, welcomed representatives from other Arab countries in Brazil and Brazilian public officials, including Justice and Public Security Minister Ricardo Lewandowski and the Superior Court of Justice’s president, Minister Herman Benjamin. Tourism Minister Celso Sabino, who was also present, was honored. The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) was represented by director-treasurer Mohamad Abdouni Neto.
