São Paulo – Brazil imported the equivalent to 13.9 million pairs of shoes between the months of January and October this year. This total represents an increase of 98% over the same period last year, when just seven million pairs were imported.
China was the main supplier and answered to 69.8% of this volume, or 11.6 million pairs. The medium price paid per pair was US$ 5.52. Vietnam was in second place, with 915,000 pairs. The information is from the Brazilian Association of Shoe Manufacturers.
