São Paulo – Brazil has potential to receive investment from Arab countries, especially in the food, agribusiness, textile, and shoe sectors. This statement is by Deloitte Corporate Finance partner Ricardo de Carvalho. "Brazilian companies have products and technology, but they need capital to grow. In Brazil, money is very expensive," he stated.
Carvalho believes that as the Arab countries are great importers, businessmen in the region should be interested in investing in Brazilian companies so as to export products to the country the capital came from. "We have historically been close to the region due to the Lebanese and Syrian immigrants in the country," stated the Deloitte director.
