Brasília – Formal job creation ran a surplus in June with 48,436 jobs. According to data from the General Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons (CAGED) as of this Thursday (25), this is the highest level for the month since 2013.
The indicator tracks the number of workers admitted and dismissed in the country. Brazil saw 1,248,106 workers admitted over 1,199,670 dismissed in June.
Year-to-date through June, over 408,500 posts were created (8,211,237 workers admitted and 7,812,737 dismissed), the highest surplus for the month since 2014, when 588,671 jobs were created.
