Brasília – Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro announced on Thursday (16) another cut in import tax rates. On his social media, Bolsonaro said the measure will apply to video games, consoles and accessories.
According to the president, the measure will come into effect on July 1. Import taxes on parts and accessories of consoles and video game machines will be reduced from 16% to 12%. The rate will be slashed to zero for video games with built-in screens, portable and non-portable. Currently, that percentage is 16%.
