São Paulo – Auto parts trade fair Automechanika Middle East, due from the 25th to the 27th of this month in Dubai, is going to count on the participation of 12 Brazilian companies, seven of which will be at the stand of Brazilian Association of Auto Parts Manufacturers (Sindipeças), organized in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex).
Most of the companies have already participated in the fair in previous years, as is the case with Fras-le, Master and Suspensys, all of which are owned by Randon, a company that manufactures highway implements and is based in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Fras-le, for instance, one of the leading friction materials companies worldwide, is already a traditional exhibitor at the event. The three manufacturers will have their own stands at the fair.
The 99-square-metre stand of Sindipeças, which has participated in the event for over five editions, will house companies Suporte Rei, Açotécnica, Freios Controil, Freios Farj, Indústria Paulista de Componentes (Inpacom), Metalurgia Schadek, and Aesa. In addition to the three arms of Randaon, Automolas Equipamentos and Cipec Autopeças will also have their own stands.
In this edition, the fair will have 1,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, among them China, France, Germany, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Argentina and Turkey. The organizers are expecting over 15,000 visitors from the auto parts industry, dealerships, automakers, trading companies, services, associations, and other organizations.
According to information from the Sindipeças, the Brazilian auto parts industry posted revenues of 66.5 billion reals (US$ 37.1 billion) in 2009 and invested 900 million reals (US$ 502 million). Exports totalled US$ 6.6 billion, and the leading buyers were Argentina, the United States, Germany, Mexico and Venezuela. The Arab countries are not among the 20 leading trade partners of Brazil.
