São Paulo – The Study and Research Group on the Middle East (Gepom) will host a live stream in Portuguese on Saturday (21) at 3:00 pm BRT, 9:00 pm EEST, with the Brazilian ambassador to Lebanon Hermano Telles Ribeiro (pictured above). The online event Brazil in Lebanon [O Brasil no Líbano] will be broadcast from Beirut and moderated by Gepom’s co-founder, Professor Muna Omran. Registration is free of charge and can be made through Sympla.
The ambassador will speak on Brazil’s relations with Lebanon, the work the Brazilian embassy has been doing to promote Brazilian culture in the Arab country, and the work of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
“The Lebanese diaspora is one of the largest in Brazil, and the ties with Lebanon are strong. Gepom will promote this live stream to discuss these affective, cultural, and economic links between Brazil and Lebanon,” said Omran.
