São Paulo – Brazilian auto parts makers will be featured in a 216 square meter stand at Automechanika Dubai, a major industry show in the United Arab Emirates. The action is part of the project Brasil Auto Parts – Trusted Partners, organized by the National Association of Brazilian Auto Parts Manufacturers (Sindipeças) in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). Twenty-two enterprises will be at the exposition.
According to Elias Mufarej, an adviser on Exports Incentive and Spare Parts at Sindipeças, this is association’s eleventh time at Automechanika Dubai – the 2017 edition is the fifteenth one to be held in the emirate. “Dubai is the gateway to all of the Middle East. In many of the region’s countries, vehicles are very similar to those in Brazil, therefore there is a great potential for supplying spare parts from Brazil,” he told ANBA by email.
The Brazilian auto parts industry is looking to increase its presence on foreign markets. Since 2012, the industry has seen exports dwindle each year – last year, foreign sales revenue reached USD 6.6 billion, a 13.1% drop over 2015. But the outlook for 2017 is good: Sindipeças expects exports to increase by 3.7%.
“The Brazilian auto parts industry needs to keep going to international events, which is key to our insertion in the global market,” Mufarej said.
The companies in the Dubai expo will be Acumuladores Moura, Autimpex, Autolinea, Chiptronic, Controil, Durametal, Duroline, ECS-Krug, Fras-le, Fremax, Frum, Fundição Batatais, MIC, Riosulense, Shana, Suporte Rei, Suspensys, Taco-ar, Tecnomotor, Urba-Brosol, Zen, and Zinni & Guëll.
Automechanika Dubai will run from Sunday (7) to Tuesday (9) at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Last year, it featured over 2,000 exhibitors from 58 countries and welcomed more than 30,000 visitors.
