Dubai – Brazilian entrepreneur Davi Sierra, new business director at Key Trade, has just started a company in Dubai. International Business Group, or IBG Trade, will be responsible for the clearance of the whole importing, stocking and selling process of Brazilian goods such as coffee, sugar, juice carton, ketchup, mustard, healthy sauces, and cosmetics to the United Arab Emirates and the Middle Eastern region as a whole.
Sierra says that Key Trade and IBG Trade will be partner companies. “They’re separate companies but have the same owners – they’re connected to facilitate commercial transactions. We have partners here in Dubai that help us with product registration, stockage, and logistics, so we’ve decided to open a company to have a stock, which facilitate sales here,” explained Sierra, who’s also a partner at Key Trade.
Key Trade has recently started to sell poultry from Brazil to Qatar, and Sierra will also establish a trade office of the Brazilian company in Dubai to serve customers in the region. “We’ve contacted Lebanon, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan and the UAE. We already have a negotiation going on,” he said. Key Trade both imports foreign products to Brazil and sells goods from Brazil abroad.
Sierra is participating in Gulfood as a visitor and taking the opportunity to network and break into the Arab market, as well as finishing up some procedures concerning the office in Dubai. Last year, he participated in the show at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce stand. Gulfood, the Middle East’s largest food and beverage trade show, has started last Sunday (16) in Dubai and runs until Thursday (20).
