Brazilian companies have assets abroad worth US$ 55 billion
National companies are expanding their operations in international markets. Oil company Petrobras is present in about 20 countries and mining company Vale do Rio Doce in 18. The two are part of the group of 12 Brazilian companies in the list of the 100 greatest companies from developing countries.
