São Paulo – From November 23rd to 26th, the Big 5 Show is going to be the largest business arena for the civil construction industry in the Arab world. Featuring 3,000 exhibitors from 50 different countries, the Dubai-based fair attracts the interest of Brazilian companies.
That is why the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce promoted a preparatory meeting for Brazilian companies to gain a better grasp the Arab market. Held this Tuesday (27th) at the head office of the Arab Brazilian Chamber, the event counted on the presence of over half the participants at the fair.
Marcus Amato, the Export manager of ceramics manufacturing company Gyotoku, explains that his company should take to the Big a new line of products that was launched this year. He hopes to increase his business volume in the Arab markets, especially Saudi Arabia.
This is the Gyotoku’s third time at the fair. The company is already present in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria and Egypt.
"It is a crucial fair to those willing to enter those countries and prospect further business. We also have post-fair actions, such as a salesperson visiting the Arab market. We always have an opportunity of meeting new clients," he says.
Jeferson dos Santos, CEO of cement mixer manufacturing company Menegotti, expects to expand his business and seek new partners. The company already operates in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait.
There are also companies that are going to the fair for the first time, with the objective of debuting in the Arab market, as is the case of pipe manufacturer Kanaflex. “The expectations are very high and we are confident,” says Douglas de Campos, Export manager of the company.
He also reports that Kanaflex has already set a preliminary target regarding business in the United Arab Emirates. “Our preliminary goal for next year is US$ 2 million, in order to supply the Dubai market. That will be the start, and from then on we are going to develop the neighbouring markets.”
