São Paulo – Vitrolar, a Brazilian maker of steel doors and windows, is going to sign a sales contract with a distributor in Qatar. The company, headquartered in the city of Mirassol, in the interior of the southeastern Brazilan state of São Paulo, should be one of the members of the trade delegation that the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex) are going to promote to the Gulf in the second half of this month. Vitrolar participated in fair Project Qatar, which took place in Doha, in April this year, and the organisation is going to close a sales contract with a local distributor with which they made contact at the fair.
The trade mission, turned to the construction sector, is going to take place between November 18th and 30th, a perioid in which three countries will be visited: the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait. In the Emirates, the group is going to participate in the Big 5 Show, a fair in the construction sector. Vitrolar produces doors and windows but plans to focus on its doors at the fair. The three kinds of products are made out of steel. The foreign trade manager at the company, Everton Luiz Pereira, believes that the steel doors with design in relief should sell well in the region.
During their stay in Kuwait, the Vitrolar representatives on the delegation, Everton and company director Isaias Pereira, already have meetings scheduled with a potential distributor. The foreign trade manager at the organisation believes that in the Gulf there is a good market for company products. "They are investing heavily in civil construction and like differentiated steel products that last and are resistent," stated Everton, pointing out that these characteristics fit the products made by Vitrolar.
The company from the interior of the state of São Paulo produces around 1,500 doors a day, apart from 800 venetian blinds and 800 windows. The company has been on the market for 18 yeras, but operates mainly on the domestic market. Exports began this year, with the sale of two containers of products to Angola, in Africa. The mission should also mark the Vitrolar entry in the Arab market. Apart from the countries to be visited, the company is negotiating with Saudi exporters. They met for the first time when the organisation participated in business roundtables at the Arab Brazilian Chamber’s offices, in São Paulo, in the first half of the year.
Vitrolar has several models of windows and doors, but they also make products at the customer’s request and specifications. For Saudi Arabia, for example, the company should make products according to the design and specification of possible importers. Vitrolar is going to send the Saudis samples of products and also price estimates to proceed with the negotiations. According to Everton, the company may double production of doors to supply new clients.
