Brasília – Innovation companies will now have support from the BNDES Garagem project, a startup development program. The pilot project, launched this Thursday (05) by the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), will allocate BRL 10 million (USD 2.64 million) for startup creation and development acceleration this year and the next.
To kick off the project, BNDES launches, this Friday (06), the public call for the startup acceleration companies to participate. One of these companies will be selected for the pilot project. To take part in this selection, the interested companies must forward their proposals to BNDES until July 31.
After this stage, the chosen accelerator will select, in November, 60 innovation startups. In September of next year, other 60 startups. The priority will be given to the companies presenting solutions related to BNDES’ strategic planning: education, healthcare, public security, financial solutions, creative economy, environment and the internet of things.
