São Paulo – The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) is going to loan nearly US$ 18 million for the construction of a hotel complex at the beach of Pernambuco, in the coastal city of Guarujá, in the southeastern state of São Paulo. The value of the financing corresponds to 45% of the total cost of the construction (US$ 40 million), to be executed by the company Sisan Empreendimentos Imobiliários, part of the Silvio Santos group.
The project, according to information disclosed today by the bank, should generate about 1,800 jobs. The hotel, to be called Sofitel Jequitimar Resort, will count on 301 apartments, sporting area, spa, services gallery, convenience store, conventions centre, entertainment area and parking lot with 520 parking spaces. The undertaking will be managed by the international hotel company Accor.
