São Paulo – The Brazilian companies interested in opening franchises in the Arab world should speak to the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex). According to information given today (29) to ANBA by the project manager in the international events unit at Apex, Monique Sallas, the agency is listing the companies interested in participating in the project for internationalisation of Brazilian franchises in the Arab world.
"The Ways to Internationalisation of Franchises in the Arab World" is the theme of a seminar taking place today during the day at the auditorium of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce. The meeting, promoted by the Chamber and Apex, together with the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF), is part of a greater project of taking national franchises to the Arab countries.
The project started being discussed by the ABF, Arab Chamber and Apex at the end of the last year. The seminar is part of a training phase for the entrepreneurs. There were about 30 people participating in it this morning. In the second semester an Arab consultant in franchises will come to Brazil to instruct these companies on this market in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa.
Also in the second semester there will be a market prospecting study on behalf of the organisers of the project and next year a Brazilian event will be held in the Arab world to promote national franchises. Initial discussions point to a workshop followed by business meetings. The seminar will continue throughout the afternoon.
