Brasília – Federal government revenue came out to BRL 1.457 trillion (USD 383 billion) in 2018, the Federal Revenue Secretariat reported this Thursday (24). Actual (inflation-discounted) inflation was up 4.74% year-on-year. It was the biggest amount collected since 2014, which had seen BRL 1.532 trillion (USD 403 billion), corrected for Dec. 2018 inflation.
Federal Revenue-managed resources (such as tax and contributions) amounted to BRL 1.398 trillion (USD 368 billion), up 3.41% in real terms.
In December, total collection was BRL 141.529 billion (USD 37.247 billion), down 1.03% in real terms from December 2017.
