São Paulo – The Brazilian Foreign Relations Minister, Celso Amorim, is going to hold a presentation in São Paulo about the recent conflict between Israel and Lebanon and on how Brazil participated in the humanitarian help to the victims. The meeting takes place on the 26th, next Tuesday, at the Lebanese social club Clube Monte Líbano, in São Paulo.
During the Israeli offensive in Lebanon, started in July, more than 3,000 people were removed from the country with help of the Brazilian government. The last flight arrived on the 21st of August bringing 102 passengers. The conflict left more than one million people homeless in a country with less than four million inhabitants.
The event, coordinated by Lody Brais, cultural promoter of the Lebanese community in São Paulo, is open to all who are interested in the matter.
