Brazilian imports from the Arab countries increased by 42%
Brazil bought the equivalent to US$ 606 million from the region in May and US$ 2.2 billion in the first five months of the year. Brazilian exports to the Arab market, in turn, were at US$ 440 million in May and US$ 2.1 billion in the accumulated value for 2006.
