Brasilia – Brazilian exports added up to US$ 2.375 billion last week, against imports equivalent to US$ 1.494 billion, which resulted in a trade surplus of US$ 881 million. Throughout the 8 working days in February, the positive surplus accumulates US$ 1.026 billion.
In the year, the trade balance surplus (exports minus imports) adds up to US$ 3.870 billion – US$ 634 million more than in the same period last year, and percentage increase of 19.59%. Result of total exports of US$ 12.939 billion and imports worth US$ 9.069 billion, with increases of 24.1% and 26.2% respectively.
The figures for the period of 6th to 12th of February were released today (13) by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
