Brasília – The Brazilian trade surplus grew 7.5% for the year-to-date through October 31st, totalling US$ 22.599 billion.
Figures announced today (3rd) by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade show that exports from January to October were equivalent to US$ 125.879 billion and imports, to US$ 103.280 billion.
During the period, exports averaged US$ 605.2 million per day, a 24.6% reduction compared with the same period of last year, and imports averaged US$ 496.5 million, a decrease of 29.4% using the same basis for comparison.
In October, the trade surplus was US$ 1.328 billion, resulting from US$ 14.082 billion in exports and US$ 12.754 billion in imports. The average daily surplus was US$ 63.3 million.
