Rio de Janeiro – The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) published this Friday (10) the rules for the 5th Oil and Gas Bidding Round under the Production Sharing Regime. The document published in the Federal Official Gazette also details the round’s procedures and the production sharing agreement models.
The 5th round is scheduled for September 28, when the blocs of Saturno, Titã and Pau-Brasil, in the Santos basin, and Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde, in the Campos basin. All of them are in high-potential areas within the pre-salt polygon. Petrobras has only shown interest in being the operator in Tartaruga Verde, thus, in this block, other interested parties will only be able to bid in 70% of the area.
The oil companies will have until August 27 to submit the expression of interest and qualification documents and to pay the participation fee. Until September 13, they will have to submit the bid bonds. Winners will sign the contracts until November 26, 2018.
