São Paulo – Oil and gas production slid in Brazil last June, the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) reported this Friday (2). Oil extraction averaged at 2.557 million bpd, down 6.4% from May and 1.3% from June 2018.
Gas output averaged at 111 million cubic meters per day, down 5.8% month-on-month and 3.3% year-on-year. Oil and gas production combined hit 3.257 million boed.
The ANP said the main reason for the weaker output was maintenance downtime at oil rig FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba (pictured), stationed in the Lula Field, located in the Santos Basin, Southeast Brazil.
