Rio de Janeiro – Oil production in Brazil exceeded 3 million barrels a day for the first time in November. The National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) reported that oil output averaged 3.09 million bpd during the month, up from a prior 2.989 million bpd in August 2019.
Output in November was up 4.3% from October and 20.4% from November 2018. November natural gas output was 137 million cubic meters per day, up 3.8% from October and 21.6% from November 2018.
Daily output in the pre-salt area averaged 2.061 million bpd, or 66.7% of the national total, and 83.7 million cubic meters of natural gas, or 61.1% of total output. Total oil and natural gas output in Brazil – including pre-salt, post-salt and onshore – was 3.95 million boed.
