São Paulo – The New Development Bank (NDB), founded by the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) will open a regional office for the Americas in Brazil this year.
The information was released by the organization this Tuesday (22) after a meeting in Shanghai on Monday (21) between NDB’s president, Kundapur Vaman Kamath (pictured above) and the Brazilian Foreign Minister, Aloysio Nunes Ferreira.
“The Americas Regional Office will increase NDB’s operational capacities and will facilitate the identification and preparation of the bank’s projects in Brazil. Alongside the Africa Regional Center, opened in Johannesburg, South Africa, the Americas Regional Office will prepare, progressively, a growing range of the bank’s operations,” says the statement.
