Rio de Janeiro – The Business Confidence Index (ICE) was up 1.0 point in December to 95.9 points, the strongest score since 97.8 in March 2014. The numbers are from the Business Confidence Surveys made public this Wednesday (2) by the Brazilian Institute of Economics at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV IBRE).
The ICE comprises confidence levels in four sectors tracked by FGV IBRE’s Business Owner Surveys: industry, services, trade and construction.
“After going up for the third time on end, business confidence is nearing levels that portray a scenario of normality,” FGV Statistics superintendent Aloisio Campelo Jr said.
