São Paulo – Last Thursday (6th) in the city of Campinas, the City Hall and the Centre of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Ciesp) promoted the seminar “How to deal with the Arabs,” with lectures by the Marketing vice president of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce , Rubens Hannun, and the organization’s secretary general, Michel Alaby.
According to Alaby, approximately 70 people, including businessmen and authorities, were at the event, which was also attended by the mayor of Campinas, Hélio de Oliveira Santos, the International Cooperation secretary of the municipality, Romeu Santini, the director of the Ciesp in Campinas, Natal Martins, the superintendent of the Jerusalem Institute in Brazil, Ali El-Khatib, and the director of the Arab Brazilian Chamber, Bechara Ibrahim.
The secretary general covered the cultural aspects of negotiating with the Arabs, whereas Hannun discussed marketing strategies for the Arab world, as well as actions by the Chamber that have contributed to expand the relations between Brazil and the region.
According to Alaby, the Arab Brazilian Chamber intends to follow up with its contacts with Campinas businessmen. Another seminar has already been scheduled with the City Hall and the Ciesp for June 10th, and the topic will be the Gulf’s construction industry.
The Chamber is also going to provide details on the Big 5 Show, a trade fair for the industry held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, towards the end of the year.
