One of the stories in Milton Hatoum’s new book, ‘A cidade ilhada’, is in honour of his grandfather. Hatoum, of Lebanese roots, created character Moamede, a merchant and storyteller.

The Arab country should be the subject of the parade of Copa Lord, from Florianópolis, in the next Carnival. In April, a team from the school is travelling to Morocco to do research on the country.

International hotel chain representatives are going to participate in event Nordeste Invest, to begin today in the city of Alagoas. Among them is James Erlacher, of the Dubai-based Jumeirah Group.

The city should show gastronomy, art and handicraft under theme ‘Morocco’. The exhibition should be in October, during a magic festival, to take place in the same moulds as the Moroccan edition.
