The ‘Tourism Dirham’ will be charged on all types of accommodations within the emirate. The charge will be made per room, per night, starting on March 31st. The charge will range from US$ 1.91 to US$ 5.44.

Region received 19.607 million visitors last year, according to the preliminary information released by the World Tourism Organization. The Middle East, which received almost 52 million people, saw an increase by only 0.3%.
