São Paulo – Morocco’s airports have posted a commercial traffic of 9.8 million passengers, through 89,600 flights, during the first seven months of 2022, according to the National Office of Airports (ONDA), state news agency MAP reported.
The national airports have experienced a positive recovery rate of 70% compared to the same period in 2019, a year before the pandemic, for passengers and 75% for airport movements, the Office said in a statement.
Between January and July this year, the Mohammed V airport has received 3,6 million passengers, through 34,700 flights, posting recovery rates of 64% and 67% respectively compared to the same period in 2019.
For July alone, Morocco’s airports have recorded a commercial traffic volume of 2,4 million passengers and 18,900 flights, a recovery of 98% for passengers and 94% for airport movements. Air cargo posted a recovery rate of 68%, with 5,300 tonnes.
