Dubai – Brazilian companies exhibiting at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of Agriculture stand at the Gulfood closed more deals yesterday (25), in the second day of the food sector fair in Dubai. Nutriza, for example, closed three orders for 300 tonnes of their Friato chicken brand. The product was ordered by importers in Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
"It is very good, I am even surprised with the demand," stated Paulinho Hoff, the export manager at Nutriza. He also negotiated contracts for shipment in April, as the company currently does not have enough capacity to supply the demand.
Serlac, a trading company connected to dairy Itambé, also closed deals. A client in Lebanon, who already works with the company, has ordered 45 tonnes of condensed milk. "It is a small volume, but he is starting to buy regularly and I hope he will reach interesting volumes by the end of the year," stated the company trader, Luiz Mizutani. "It is a good market, and it is going to develop well," he added.
Agro Foods, which sells coffee and spices, has confirmed a sale of Jamile coffee that was under negotiation on Sunday, and also received an order for another 40 tonnes of coffee and 122 tonnes of cloves. The products are going to be shipped to Beirut, Lebanon, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai.
Savon-Paladar, which produces powdered drinks, has not yet closed deals, but the company hopes to sign an order today. "It is on its way. We hope to close the deal tomorrow (today)," said the export manager at the company, Giselle Bisoli. The client is interested in powdered chocolate drinks and juices.
Essenciale, in turn, which sells honey and beverages, is opening the market. "We are feeding the fish: answering questions and making contacts," stated the commercial director at the company, Guilherme Alcici. In all, 12 companies are exhibiting at the Arab Brazilian Chamber and Ministry stand, but around 40 Brazilian companies are being represented at the fair.
