Rio de Janeiro – The Confidence Index in Brazilian Industry posted a slight growth of 0.9 prior February, compared to the result consolidated in January. Therefore, the indicator reached 99.1 points, the highest one since August 2018.
The growth was driven by a better perception by entrepreneurships about the current moment, measured by the Present Situation Index, which grew by 2 points and reached 99. The confidence in the future, however, measured by the Expectations Index decreased 0.3 points, down to 99.2 points. After four drops in a row, the preliminary result of February increased by 0.4% in the Level of Capacity Utilization (NUCI, acronym in Portuguese), reaching 74.7%.
