São Paulo – The Library and Research Center of Arab-South American Countries (BibliASPA) promotes, on August 7th, 8th and 11th, the course An Intercultural exploration of letters: calligraphy, typography and visual communication, with Lebanese professor and artist Antoine Abi Aad.
According to information from the institution, the course will cover the use of letters in visual communication, of the relationship between Latin and non-Latin scripts, of the application of Arabic letters in different graphical platforms, besides the features of Indian, Chinese and Japanese letters.
For the course, 25 spots were opened but, according to the organization, all of them were already filled. The programming is focused to people that work with design.
Still according to Bibliaspa, Abi Aad is a teacher of the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (Alba, in the French acronym). He studied in Lebanon and Japan and already displayed his works throughout the world.
