Brasília – The Brazilian vaccination certificate for complete immunization against COVID-19 can now be issued in three languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish. This functionality is available in the ConecteSUS app, which is used for managing patient information related to Brazil’s Unified Public Health System (SUS).
Issuing the certificate in other languages can be helpful for those who want to leave the country or need to present documentation to fulfill some requirements demanding proof of immunization.
The situation of the pandemic in the country led a good part of the world to ban the entry of Brazilians. Some nations began to relax these policies. However, different terms are being imposed, such as presenting a negative test or the vaccination certificate for the complete immunization cycle.
ConecteSUS is one of the ways to record vaccination information. Those who do not install the app and go to a vaccination station will receive a card that needs to be kept for the second shot.
If a person loses the card, the instruction by the Brazilian Ministry of Health is to head to the health facility where the first shot was received to get a duplicate. According to Brazil’s Ministry of Health, the use of the mobile application avoids this inconvenience as it stores the information in the SUS data system.
The app also keeps a heath record and history of procedures performed in SUS, such as appointments and assistance in general. It is possible to schedule appointments through the app, as long as the patient is registered in the health facility and the SUS system.
