São Paulo – The economic crisis that has been affecting Brazil and that reduces investments is a momentary challenge and shouldn’t affect the plans of RAK Porcelain, company from the United Arab Emirates, of expanding its sales in the country. The company is attending, for the fifth time, the Equipotel fair of equipment and services for the hospitality sector in the city of São Paulo, bringing its line of porcelain products for the luxury market, with plates, trays and cups, among other utensils.
RAK Porcelain’s sales deputy manager, Deepu Kunnath, said to ANBA this Tuesday (15th) that the size of the Brazilian market offers opportunity to the company’s products. “There’s a chance for us to sell more and conquer more clients. We have a goal and want to expand. Our products can compete in quality with any European manufacturer and we offer price also. We have options for any client looking for quality of manufacturing and finishing”, he said.
The executive pointed out that Brazil is going through economic difficulties and acknowledged that this can get in the way of business in the short term. “The foreign exchange rate is not favorable for exports to Brazil, but it’s a reality of a couple of months and doesn’t reflect the whole potential of this market. We believe it’s momentary”, he said.
RAK is based in Ras al-Khaimah, one of the seven Emirates that form the United Arab Emirates. RAK Porcelain is one of the divisions of the company, which also operates in sectors such as ceramic tiles through RAK Ceramics, which also operates in Brazil.
To expand the presence of the porcelain products’ division is part of the company’s projects. “We’re at Equipotel to build relationships with Brazil’s hospitality sector. We will also attend fairs in Mexico City, Chicago, in the United States, and in some European countries this year still”, said the executive. RAK has been selling to Brazilian clients for six years already through importer Qualis, based in Vitória, Espírito Santo state. Besides Kunnath, the business executive Asim Ali is also attending the fair. Qualis is represented in the event by director Renato Arantes.
