São Paulo – From February 21 through 25 the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX), one of the world’s major defense events, will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The event demonstrates the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defense. It is a platform to establish strategic relationships with governments and businesses throughout the Middle East. Pictured above, IDEX.
The Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials (ABIMDE) will be there with Brazil’s pavilion in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) with the support of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC).
The participation aims to boost the companies of the Defense Industrial Base (BID), strengthen relations with other countries and bring business opportunities for Brazil. The Brazilian pavilion will feature ten companies: Atech, Avionics, M&K Logistics, Gespi, Taurus, CBC, Iacit, Condor, Kryptus, and Siatt. Embraer and MacJee will participate with their own booths.
“The next few years will be key for Brazilian companies aiming to obtain or widen their space in the foreign market. Therefore, ABIMDE acts strongly in support of BID companies. And IDEX is a golden opportunity for our companies to showcase their potential for partners across the globe, particularly from the Middle East,” said ABIMDE chair Roberto Gallo.
The Brazilian defense industry sees the Middle Eastern region as a key priority and has worked on different fronts to strengthen relations and become its major partner.
IDEX is the only international defense exhibition and conference in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and is an important platform to establish and strengthen relationships with government departments, businesses and armed forces throughout the region.
